INTERNATIONAL ASK A QUESTION DAY

Dear Readers,
We at kids creative zone are always eager to learn & do new things but for this the first thing we must do is 'ASK'
We ask and answer millions of questions to others around us and so let us celebrate this 'INTERNATIONAL ASK A QUESTION DAY'(14th March)
by asking one another and ourselves some important questions.

The goal of International Ask a Question Day is for people to benefit from asking more
and better questions. Everyone asks questions; few people use them powerfully or as
successfully as they could.

        WHY ASK A QUESTION???
HERE'S WHY ASKING IS AS IMPORTANT AS ANSWERING OR ONLY LISTENING:

  • To clarify and confirm what you know.
  • To gather more information and knowledge
  • To be aware and spread awareness
  • To solve problems
  • To think better
  • To build a friendly relationship with others
  • To have a productive conversation
  • To set an example to those afraid to ask
  • To get involved in a group discussion
  • To accomplish great goals with the new information received

HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY ASKING A FEW QUESTIONS WHICH MAY CHANGE YOUR LIFE!

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SEND US YOUR QUESTIONS AND VIEWS ON THIS DAY AT kidscreativityzone@gmail.com!

Keep Smiling!

WORLD BOOK DAY

World Book Day is a celebration! It’s a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and marked in over 100 countries all over the world.

World Book Day is the biggest celebration of its kind, anywhere. Millions and millions of book vouchers given out, great free books for kids, excitement everywhere (on blogs, in newspapers, on TV and in schools, libraries and, of course, bookshops), people coming together (including lots and lots of young readers) in a big, loud, happy celebration of reading.
The main aim of World Book Day in the UK and Ireland is to encourage children to explore the pleasures of books and reading by providing them with the opportunity to have a book of their own. (find out more at www.worldbookday.com)

This time we at kids creative zone spent our time trying to spread the love for books to children around us. We looked into the large cupboards in the library, studied the shelves of book stores and even dug out some old books to draw up a final list of books our young readers can read to celebrate their 'WORLD BOOK DAY' week.

Peepo! by Allan Ahlberg
PEEPO!
FOR AGES 3 ABOVE
One of our 'Must Reads'. Fabulous illustrations, wonderful rhyming text with not a word out of place; this is a book that no nursery bookshelf can be without. Guaranteed to have huge appeal with babies and young toddlers.
Fantastic Mr Fox by Roald Dahl
Fantastic  Mr. Fox
FOR AGES 5 & ABOVE
This book is filled with quirky black and white illustrations by the wonderful Quentin Blake that complement the story so beautifully. As three of the nastiest and most crooked farmers vow to wreak revenge on the foxes eating their chickens, little do they know what the foxes have in store for them.

Black Beauty by Anna Sewell
BLACK BEAUTY
FOR AGES 8 & ABOVE
Animal lovers will love the story of Black Beauty even though the tears will be almost as frequent as the smiles. An essential read.

Five Go to Mystery Moor (Famous Five)THE FAMOUS FIVE
FOR AGES 9 & ABOVE
Mystery Moor isn't called by that name for nothing - as the Five are about to discover! There's something dangerous out there, and the gang mean to find out what it is, but they need some help. The travellers camped on the moor are no use - in fact, they're downright unfriendly. So the Famous Five have no other choice: they'll have to risk the treacherous mists and follow the trail...But do they know what they've let themselves in for?

Charlotte's Web by E B WhiteCHARLOTTE's WEB
FOR AGES 10 & ABOVE
Magical, this timeless farmyard story tells of the power of friendship. When the runty little piglet is saved from an early death, he grows into a fine and handsome pig. And the farmer wants to kill him. Can Charlotte, the spider who has grown to love him, save his life?

The Peppermint Pig by Nina BawdenTHE PEPPERMINT PIG
FOR AGES 11 & ABOVE
This is no pastoral idyll, but a world where children die of scarlet fever; blackmail and vicious bullying are common occurences; and poverty is a fact of life. Into this world comes Johnnie, a 'peppermint pig, the runt of the litter, who becomes the focal point for the children's happiness and sorrows. He is their confidant and friend, and, depsite his often outrageous behaviour, truly one of the family. But again the real world intrudes - Poll returns home from school one day to find Johnnie has gone...

Daddy Long-Legs by Jean Webster, Eva IbbotsonDADDY LONG LEGS
FOR AGES 11-12 OR ABOVE
A trustee of the John Grier orphanage has offered to send Judy Abbott to college. The only requirements are that she must write to him every month and that she can never know who he is. Judy's life at college is a whirlwind of friends, classes, parties and a growing friendship with the handsome Jervis Pendleton. With so much happening in her life, Judy can scarcely stop writing to 'Daddy-Long-Legs', or wondering who her mysterious benefactor is.

And Then There Were None (Agatha Christie Collection)AND THEN THERE WERE NONE
FOR AGES 12  ONWARDS
The best time to start reading books by Agatha Christie, 'The Queen Of Crime'.
Ten strangers, apparently with little in common, are lured to an island mansion off the coast of Devon by the mysterious U.N.Owen. Over dinner, a record begins to play, and the voice of an unseen host accuses each person of hiding a guilty secret. That evening, former reckless driver Tony Marston is found murdered by a deadly dose of cyanide. The tension escalates as the survivors realize the killer is not only among them but is preparing to strike again! and again!
Twelve Minutes to Midnight by Christopher Edge

Twelve Minutes to Midnight

FOR AGES UP TO 13
A thriller with a fast-paced cinematic style, Twelve Minutes to Midnight is an electrifying story from an exciting new author featuring a feisty 13 year old heroine. It is the first book in a must-read series for fans of Philip Reeve, Marcus Sedgwick and Anthony Horowitz.

Collins Classics: The Adventures Of Sherlock HolmesSHERLOCK HOLMES

Food and Celebration

"Life is a celebration and intelligent are those who find reason to celebrate each day of their lives"

Josh with Mrs.Mukerjee exchanging culinary ideas

In all our celebration food forms an important part.Rather food and celebration are synonyms.Any celebration is incomplete without food, be it a birthday,a marriage,or a festival.Food cuts across geographical boundaries and cultures. We are always ready to try new recipes and innovate on our Menu. You can pep up  anyone with a chocolate or an Ice cream--Try it.

If you want to make friends just invite them over for Lunch or Tea and a good dish can do wonders. You see,  food can create magic in your life.Dear kids, have you ever baked a cake for your Grandma or Grandpa, if you have then I am sure you must have seen the twinkle in their eyes that is worth a million dollars actually that is God's showers of blessing.A little bit of hard work and you can make someone feel so special. This hard work can also be fun if you team it up with your friends and plan some baking together.

.While celebrating we must always remember those who are less fortunate than us and do not get one square meal a day. There are millions of  children in this world who have no food to eat.So while cooking or trying out a new recipe never waste food.Try out new dishes with leftovers this will help you to innovate as well reduce wastage. We will be soon posting some quick recipes with left over food...Do try them and let us know.

Keep smiling...

  1. Hey Shruti,
Very well written, positive thoughts and in line with perfection!
However, you need to break your own record every time you write and your innovative ideas need to be on toes which you can co relate with!
Be positive in life, in the event of adversities as well. My personal suggestion: Give your stories a bollywood touch....
    I mean a Happy Ending!!!
    With Luv,
    Amrit
